CBOs (Community Based Organisations) Capacity Building Project

The broad aims of the Capacity Building Project are to expand the knowledge and develop the skills of those involved in the management of community based organizations. In doing so, CBOs will affect the development of their communities while providing network members with the means, resources and support needed to play an active and inclusive part in the social and cultural development of their communities.

The project is a collaborative initiative between Tadamon staff and volunteers from Tadamon member agencies. Together, they will tackle common technical capacity building requirements that cannot be addressed through formalized training due to the high, debilitating costs of such operations, especially for emerging local refugee initiatives.

The project also aims to strengthen partnerships among Tadamon member organizations, to encourage peer-to-peer learning and to promote the sharing of expertise, resources and knowledge.

Capacity Building Project's Main Objectives: -

-To provide learning opportunities that will help develop the skills and knowledge of community groups and their coordinators according to their expressed needs.

- To provide resources and support to strengthen the organisational capacity of community groups.

- To promote networking within community and to encourage wider volunteer community involvement.
